Crystal Lake Events by Season
Spring & Summer (May–August)
Summer is peak event season in Crystal Lake. The Crystal Lake Farmers Market runs every Saturday from June through September at Depot Park. The Lakeside Festival over July 4th weekend is the city's signature event, featuring carnival rides, live music, and fireworks over the lake. Free Friday and Tuesday night concerts at Main Beach run all summer, and the hilarious Cardboard Boat Regatta in August draws hundreds of spectators.
Fall & Winter (September–March)
Fall brings Flannel Fest at Three Oaks Recreation Area, Trunk or Treat for families, and Main Street Trick-or-Treating downtown. The holiday season features the beloved Luminaria Walk at Veteran Acres — thousands of candle-lit bags along wooded trails — followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony downtown. Winter's Snow Much Fun Festival and Puzzle Palooza events keep the community connected through the cold months.
